Linkup takes on bottlenecks in time-sensitive stroke treatment pathways across the UK
Visionable, a company specializing in virtual healthcare models, and Brainomix, an artificial intelligence (AI) solutions company, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at transforming the delivery of stroke care.
Together, the companies are co-marketing two end-to-end pathway solutions from pre-acute to intra-hospital.
Visionable’s next-generation digital healthcare collaboration platform can be used across these pathways of care and can be used in conjunction with Brainomix’s “e-Stroke” software. This software is a collection of tools that support physicians by using AI algorithms to provide real-time interpretation of brain scans to help guide them. process.
Importantly, the combination of technologies will enable more patients to receive care in the right place at the right time, while saving time, reducing workload and leveraging integration to improve care. to support improved results in line with the UK’s national strategy of promoting efficiency in
Brainomix, winner of the prestigious NHS Health and Care Artificial Intelligence Award, has also implemented e-Stroke in a number of stroke networks in the UK over the past two years. In fact, additional benefits of combining the e-Stroke and Visionable platforms are being pioneered by the stroke team at Ipswich Hospital in Suffolk, where patients and staff are already seeing improved patient outcomes.
Recent performance indicators show that Ipswich Hospital is delivering improved services, with the percentage of patients assessed by stroke consultants within 24 hours above the national average (90.4% vs. 82.9%). %). Additionally, the assessment time has improved to 4 hours and 20 minutes compared to the national average of 9 hours and 53 minutes.
Dr Sajid Alam, Stroke Consultant at Ipswich Hospital, said: Using AI software increases confidence in interpreting each scan. In particular, he is confident in interpreting the CTA as patients look for large vessel occlusion (LVO), a key indicator of eligibility for mechanical thrombectomy. ”
“In stroke, time is of the essence. With e-Stroke, scans are instantly visible on the Brainomix web portal, saving valuable time. We can communicate, share images and make transfer decisions without delay,” he added.
The Brainomix partnership is the latest in a series of collaborations Visionable has partnered with health tech organizations focused on enhancing care delivery.
