Spartan Council and SIP updates
Attend the Spartan Council Weekly Project on January 18, 2023:
Spartan Council: Adam, Cavalier, dsacks, Jackson, KALEB, SeliniCapital (representing Jordi), TerraBellus
Major contributors: afif, david, joey, jz, mike, nikita, noah, regina
There are no major milestone updates since last week, SIP-255burning instead of distributing fees, will take place after the V3 audit is completed and will be published in the next release.
Speaking of V3, audit feedback is starting to be introduced at a faster pace. Several CCs are currently working on implementing spot markets, which should be in a pretty solid place. After implementing the spot market, the focus shifts to processing audit feedback and preparing for launch. That is, preparing the deployment pipeline and tools.
Then there are some updates to Perps V2 and CC is working on a second batch of improvements based on alpha feedback. Afif said he is looking at ways to optimize timing with auditors to implement high-impact but relatively simple fixes. Small improvements have allowed us to grow our market capitalization.
Last week, the Council also discussed the Perps V2 offering, and whether it is necessary to have a separate SIP for each product offered in Perps V2, even though it is already available in Perps V1. Did. Afif proposed a single SIP adding all already approved SC markets, from Perps V1 to Perps V2.
Kaleb also mentioned past SIPs that rejected the idea of adding new variations that SC would only offer over SCCP. Afif stressed that if the perps contract is upgradable, only votes will be taken to approve the new version of his perps and everything will carry over to the new contract.
Attend the Grants Council on January 19, 2023:
Grant Team: Alexander, Ana, JVK, Synthquest
Then, in an update from the Grants Council, the stats page went live. Some of Dune’s formats are still under review, as the council has stated that they need the Dune API to be able to build custom stats pages to retrieve data from Dune. This may require CC and security considerations currently being discussed.
As for the NFT project, Ana will get a firm timeline from the NFT team as the council has completed an overview of all the moving parts on their side, including whitelisting, websites, auction/marketing, social media, testnet, etc. . /contract/dev status etc.
Alexander is also working on a nice shareable graphic with SNX volume/fee stats for marketing purposes, and discusses trying out bounties for Dune’s analytical work.
Attend the Ambassador Council on January 17, 2023:
Ambassador: GUNNBOATs, Kevin, mastermojo, Matt, MoneymanDoug
In an Ambassador update, the team discussed future Spartan Spaces, including Illuvium, Armada, and Lido. They’ll be on Twitter with Illuvium tomorrow, so join us!
With an optimistic vote, the next phase for Ambassadors is to start looking for integration opportunities with all these new protocols coming to the OP. This is our current top priority.
The team also got an update from the Finance Council — the StakeDAO voting market was used to bribe 10,000 SNX weekly, and Ambassadors expect more funding to be needed for the OP relatively soon. increase.
Finally, in updating the external protocol, check this out Tweet Matt’s retweet from Polynomial hints at a new product coming in 2023. Also, a few of his community members are working to prepare his SIP for a better volume source program, which should make the ambassador’s job a little easier. to protocol integration.
